Pomberry Balance Smoothie

This 60-Second Smoothie video features low-glycemic Yacon Syrup, which provides an earthy sweetness, but without refined sugar. It contains high levels of inulin - a complex sugar that's not digestible, so although it tastes sweet, it just passes through the body without spiking blood sugar levels.

You’ve been asking for simpler smoothies and it comes down to picking your favorite superfoods for that extra “oomph”, fruit (and/or veggies), liquid of choice, sweetener if you need it and maybe some ice. You can use dried, fresh or frozen berries – in this case we used dried goji and golden berries. Almond milk has some protein and healthy fat, makes a nice a creamy base. Dates and coconut palm sugar are nice light sweeteners. Just throw that all in your blender and give it a whirl.

Smoothie Tip: Soak Your Gojis

One way to soften your goji berries before blending them, is simply soaking them for 15 or 20 minutes or juice or water. They plump right up and give your smoothie and even ‘smoother’ consistency. Enjoy!

1 Cup Plain Kefir (or high quality plain yogurt)
1 Frozen Banana
1 Orange, peeled
2 Tbsp Navitas Naturals Chia Seeds
1 Tbsp Raw Honey

Puree all ingredients in blender or immersion blender. Enjoy!
